Woodland-there are a number of acres of woodland within the estate, which extend to approximately 15 acres. The woodland has been planted with mainly native hardwoods and many trees have been planted since 1987 following the hurricane, as the previous owners being ardent conservationists, who won the Farming and Conservation Award for Essex in 1992. The main species planted include Oak, Ash, Wild Cherry, Crab, Holly, Yew, Hawthorn, Field Maple and Sweet Chestnut. In addition Cricket Bat Willow Trees have been planted within the Chelmer River Valley over many years, which runs through the estate.
Pasture- there are also a number of pasture areas with an abundance of flora and fauna, including deer, munjack, rabbits, hares and squirrels.
Wildlife-The Estate has a large number of songbirds including Nightingales, Skylarks, Tawny and Little Owls, Kestrels and some English Partridges. Other birds include Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Tree Sparrow, Woodpeckers, Kingfisher and Warblers. The Permanent Set Aside has particularly encouraged the wildlife.
